I know this thing catches a lot of moths and bugs, but it is hard to see if any of them are mosquitoes. So I thought I would make a test see how many actual mosquitoes are caught by this insect trap.

You can add lures that’s suppose to help attract mosquitos but I haven’t tried it yet myself. Mine without one catches mostly moths and little beetles.
They don’t last long either. Mine started making fan noise the first year then the light failed just after the first season and the fan died completely 2 years in. Dynatrap also does not sale replacement fans and flat out refused. My owners manual listed the part number and even said it was offered as a replaceable part but they refused to sale me one. They claimed it’s only for within the one year warranty period. So the customer service is pretty bad along with the reliability. I honestly don’t believe these are weather resistant. Maybe under a covered area but mine had rust in the fan area and was stuck after turning it off for the winter period.
