I love these OTR shows, i listen to them on most nights.Philip Marlowe, Sam Spade, Suspense, The Whistler and more are all great shows.Too bad the rest of the country doesn't know about, nor care about them.They're missing a high form of entertainment that's been lost to tv and time.Too bad.

My kids and I love to listen to these shows. If we're in the car, we listen to XM, but at home, we listen to these from Late Late Horror Show. My youngest (16) LOVES The Shadow. I'm more into the detective shows. My middle daughter just loves anything.
Fun Fact: Wild Root Cream Oil is still available for sale on Amazon, at barber supply shops, etc. Fun to see what's still around from back then!

Always listened to radio before bed. Miss Art Bell and other radio legends. I like to best imagine myself in a different time period. Coast to coast was way to interesting some nights to even sleep. This is more my style these days. I like detective stories. Used to listen to terror stories or mob life. This is probably healthier. I’ll be reading westerns by the time I’m 50. Not that westerns are bad. Feeling like Eisenhower. Speaking of which. Ike was a good cook. Couldn’t eat what he did all the time nor smoke like he did but I do my best.
