What Happens If You SHIFT From NEUTRAL To DRIVE At 5500 RPM!

So I've never done this before but I like to try random things and I get a new truck every year so I still have warranty! Anyways I tried shifting my 2018 F150 Platinum from Neutral to Drive at 5500 RPM from a stop and while driving!

I did it several times (all the time) many years ago with my '70 Chevelle, and it did a burnout, it was fun always, nothing happened to the gearbox.

Did mutiple neutral drops in my 77 Nova when I was a kid. Ruined the transmission and rear end. $800 repair in 1986. Probably $4000 today.

I did it when I was 17 years old in my new 95 Camaro because my friend told me it would do a burnout. It destroyed the transmission.

Decided to do something like this in my 05 golf, I was on the highway going around 80. and for some reason, I had this idea that my car wouldn't shift, if I didn't press the button on my stick. Well, I as VERY wrong, and ended up abruptly slowing down in the left lane, let's just say I saw the bird a few times 😂😭

This happened to me few days ago at a intersection. I wasn't aware at the time, until hearing the reving sound. I thought my foot break was on it wasn't. I came up to intersection to stop & turn left. I saw it in neatual quickly changed it it kind of bolted forward I saw an empty 2 car space thinking I could pull in quickly n safely. By the time I pushed foot brake it skidded forward quickly hitting a parked car.. I'm ok, not hurt but was trying my hardest to avoid being hurt let alone hitting another car. It's ok I'm insured, and owner was just standing on footpath beside the car.. was totally an accident and not deliberately done.
It makes sense now what happened. Do I need to recheck brakes or transmission!!

I just was thinking about this earlier like what would happen if I jammed my quad into first gear from neutral bouncing on the rev limiter😂

What I don't get is, why does my car vibrate after I shift to 'D' from 'P' or to 'D' from 'N'. The whole of the dashboard and the hood and almost every part of the canin would slightly vibrate and the car would be tensed until i've lifted up my foot off of the brake padel and the car begins to move forward.

What about the opposite? There are occasional cases of unintended acceleration, and the obvious way to stop is to shift into neutral then come to a stop. That should be fine. What I'm wondering is what happens if you shift into park from neutral while the engine is pushing hard after you've come to a stop.

02 honda accord was getting road head and the girl shifted the car into neutral... noticed my RPM's fly up into the red and freaked out. Told her to get up and saw the car was in neutral then threw it right back in drive going 60mph. Still runs to this day but never quite ran right after that

I have an automatic challenger and while driving I’ve put it in neutral and revved the engine and I would like to know if that causes any damage to the car

The cool thing is that if you take your muffler off and do a tranny drop, it will pop and bang before shifting into gear
