It is a really useful knot, my favourite use is to attach my tarp to a ridge line, very quick and easily adjustable.

This is a great not to use for tarp shelters. If you trim down a piece of carbon arrow shaft and drill a hole through the centre it makes a great toggle or button to attach your tarp to a guy line. Cheers John

I switched from half hitches to this for pulling heavy cable. One side is open to tension up on the cable to cinch up. Useful to drag heavy cable behind a truck or any other heavy machinery.

You can do this knot using loop of chain ..for pulling on wire rope ..but if your putting serious weight on it, damage to the wire rope is probable 👍
