Starting Gladiolus in Pots - 🌱🪴🌺❤️

I'm starting gladiolus in pots so I can get a jump on the season. Putting the glads into soil now will get them growing 6 or 7 weeks earlier than if I were starting them directly in soil after my last frost. Come along and see!

Those Dollar Tree ones are good performers in the garden. I was pleasantly surprised last year at how they did and how lovely those pink ones are! Picked up more this year.

The dollar tree Gladiolas were actually my introduction to Gladiolus! I saw how easy they were to grow, and I’ve been hooked ever since! TBH, I’ve never really had too much luck buying seeds from the dollar tree, but I have found really good luck with their glads

We're having a very cold spring this year and I'm trying to start as much as I can for the cut flower bed. I was looking for reassurance that I can indeed start glads early. So thank you for posting this!

I haven't grown glads in many years. But I did grab a large bag to plant this year!

Thank you for sharing your way of presprouting 🌱🌸 I'm growing these varieties this year: 'Rose Supreme', 'Purple Flora', 'Rostov', 'Cote D Azur', 'Krasnodar', 'White Prosperity', ' Caucasus' and 'Sotsji'. I'm planning on succession planting them throughout May-June 😍 I live in Sweden and my zone is somewhere near US 5b/6a 🌞
Edit: In Sweden Lidl is a very common store and the 'i' in the name is pronounced just as the name Lee. So it might sound like 'Leedl' 😁

I really did enjoy your video and I'm looking forward for you to show us what your flowers are going to look like when they start blooming for you this summer when you keep your glass in the ground there and where you live in Maryland I think it's what you said any how do they come back up for you or do you have to dig them up keep them from freezing there

Hi I wonder why after I plant them they sprout fast and then stop growing, just with a few leaves then through the summer without growing even one more leaf, I planted them with potting soil and with some beanmeal, and after a few weeks I fertilizer them with miracle grow, but nothing keep growing again, I live in high desert is considered as zone 8b where is very dry and hot, I place them full sun and leaves turn yellow even I water enough; then I place them under the shade but no matter where I put they stop growing? I try many years but no result! is there anything going wrong or weather? Oriental Lilies too, only one can grow OK is tuberoses and Chinese snowball and roses! I wish I live in somewhere can have plants and flowers growing around me!

Where did you place them? Can be placed in a sunny green house?
