This is my first handmade electric guitar,
it took me around 4-5 monthes to finish it.

The woods I used are Basswood for the body and Maple for the neck.
The fretboard is Rosewood.

Finish has been done with Tru-Oil.
Finish of the body was accomplished with some water based filler and color.

I used templates from here:

and plans from here:

So far this is my all time favourite guitar build video. Theres a bunch of poncy ones out there that have no soul, but this one is awesome.

loved this build but when I saw the random tape lines across the body, I was like: "no please no don't do that stop please no

My hat off to you. Truly hand build from scratch.
Don't think there are many guitar players that can make that statement.
The finish ? It's what you wanted. Enough said.
KUDOS !

Beautiful!! So talented :) I don't agree too much on the whole eddy Van Halen color scheme but hey to each their own! Good job

Whew! I've always envied people like this, who can start with a few hunks of wood and end up with a guitar.

I love the pickguard, it looks like a combination of the '69 and the '72 Thinline pickguard. The Space Invaders inlays were a cool addition as well. Almost unbelieveable that this was your first build, great job!

Kudos tho for not buying a pre-carved neck. Takes guts to carve a neck

Beside the paint job and that I didn't hear a sound from the guitar, this is an awesome job! thanks for sharing.

Very cool. Not a huge fan of the paint job but I won't be a dick about it, just not my thing. Looks like a great build! Nicely done.

I always loved the tele elite - it's a unique axe with a really mellow sound. Great job.

This is a great vid showing the steps on how you made you axe. I find it funny how so many people dislike this, I mean people showing things like these regardless of the process is still comendable for the effort and time. Kudos to you Man!

6 years old and still one of the best videos on guitar making. No CNC, small power toolds, hand tools and lots of talent. Although all building videos are appreciated, there's too much CNC, which is more programming then building. The point of these videos is to encourage all home builders and share the passion. If we wanted to see a huge factory with the latest power tools we could watch a Gibson factory video.

My jaw dropped after watching all that time and effort go into the build and then I saw you go for a EVH style paint job haha amazing workmanship though!
