So, is this how I can warp to a specific galaxy and then into a specific system that allows me to utilize the coordinates that people provide for like ship, freighter, planet, etc locations? (I'm barely starting to get back into NMS and before I played I didn't really play as much the first time around.) Thanks.

Worked with the nomad exocraft 3rd try had to talk to monolith a second time and it worked thank you for this post man Ryt on 1:22

I have played this game for over 1000 hours so far - numerous restarts. I have never completed the game; but have finished the missions.
This means, of course, that I used the portal network my, many times.
What others may find interesting is that not once have I been given the option of presenting a relic to the monolith.
Dozens of times I have stood before a monolith (with all types of relics in my inventory) and been given the options of learning language or the location of a dig site; but no question has ever been asked - not one. Zero. Zilch.
Anybody have any thoughts or suggestions?

0:58 for those that are freaking out because he didn't explicitly say....apparently the option you choose doesn't matter. You'll get something and be able to interact with it a second time for the locate a portal option.

All its doing for me is teaching the language. Same thing 20 times help with the past and help with the language. There has to be another way to find portals i give up

I've done this, but it's not giving me the option to interact with the monolith again after getting the correct answer, idk why

Done every single thing you have said and i am no closer to finding the portal all the charts keep taking me to are language monoliths I have been looking for this portal thing for over two bloody weeks I need to find the portal so I can Finnish this living ship quest the game has not helped me or gave me any hints to do so all it is saying is unconventional travel may be required well I know that means the portal how can I find it because your way has not helped

Most of the time I managed to find a monolith using the alien charts pretty quicky, 1-3 attempts. Not today in Hilbert D, it took me like 30 minutes, I don't how many attempts, stopped counting them when trying it again and again and also changing systems.

I've hit 19 monoliths now and this doesn't work. I don't know if it was removed from the game but none of them give the option to locate a portal
