Social psychologist Shose Kessi works in the Psychology Department at the University of Cape Town. Dr Kessi is the co-leader of the Hub for Decolonial Feminist Psychologies in Africa. Among other things, the Hub provides a transdisciplinary space on decolonial and feminist aesthetics and praxes for psychological work, focusing intersectional identities and oppressions; social movements, leadership and activisms; institutional cultures and spatial justice; transgenerational trauma; and reparations and reconciliation. The Hub offers postgraduate students, emerging and senior researchers, as well as other collaborators the benefit of access to decolonial and feminist networks, team supervision, co-publishing, student-led dialogues, research events, writing workshops, teach-ins, mentoring, exchange programmes and residencies.
