This man was something different, he had the emotions of a human in there but he was a master at putting those feelings away and composing himself to let those murderous instincts win, he developed them over time and got used to it by choice and after he murdered his mother it was over because in his mind the rage was solely towards his mother.

That also sounds sad like his mother just neglected the fuck out of him when he had nobody he turned to his mom for answers when he was a young boy and he asked her about the world. She probably saw it as a joke and didn’t take him seriously.
