Dude… my violin is 7 grand… I got it for an amazing deal because it’s a Facebook marketplace fix up without a name attached that plays like a 15 grand instrument with a name attached. I was LUCKY that mine was so cheap. No instrument worth its salt will likely be under 3 grand, unfortunately, however a good backup might be about 2 grand.
None of this is taking into account whether the violin is new (made within the last 5-10 years), middle aged, or old. All of which will change the sound as the instrument settles into itself. An older instrument will have its final sound already, which can sometimes increase the price, while a younger instrument is generally a more finicky buy and is generally cheaper because it hasn’t settled yet.

Don't listen to the others. 1350 is expensive to me, too. 😭😭😭😭 I got a Thomann violin that cost me 100 euros. 1350 is A LOT compared to that. And yes, I know that violins do get expensive, but that just makes them *even more* expensive.
