I guessed b from the first demonstration.
The little ring it has, made it more complex and layered, more rich. I got it right!

And here I was hesitating on buying a $250 bow. I could actually tell a difference once I got it, but man I could only imagine the difference for a $2200 bow. Maybe someday. Thanks for all of the great videos!

It was very clear on $40 earphones yesterday

Yay I was right!! Bow B just had this more colorful voice, more range of expression. I am listening on my cell phone speaker as an adult beginner with only 1 year under my belt. Quite proud of myself! 😂

To me bow b had a richer sound so that’s good to know

Really! I’m new to violin but! That much difference in the price over that much of a subtle difference in sound😳 i guess it’s like cars, they all get you A-B but you can spend a whole ton of dollar buying something that will drop the kids off at school🙄

I was correct with bow B. What CAN increase the price of a bow is some brands still use horsehair(from the tail) to create the strings due to their strand thickness, longevity, elasticity, and old customs from when they first started making bows.

$2200 is crazy for a bow. I know violin stuff is expensive but I could get my dream guitar plus amp setup for that 😭

I used my Bose earbuds and was guessing B but just guessing not sure I am ready to upgrade the bow I have yet if I don't know the difference yet

I was completely wrong... But I still think, when I was listening through my headphones, that A sounded better - and that B was more scratchy...

On my end, through my phone speaker, I really can't hear it.

Listening to this on a car stereo i guessed A was the expensive one, because B had anoying frequencies 😅

First I was wrong. I could not tell much becouse my second comment you the first guy I heard when doing a comparison talked about the way we heard it. Tiny Mike tiny headphones. I said this over Bluetooth as well. So I have great ears. I heard what guy said an extra tone. I thought that was from the bow not being good so it add mistakes. That what I heard it as over Bluetooth headphones. Thanks I started my journey in the guitar with my kids. My son loves the electric violin I love it to. I love looking at any content about instruments. He actually a beat boxer but he loves to hear the best electric violin players on Spotify and youtube he always showing me every new one he finds on YouTube or Spotify. We love Can you do us a favor and give us the bands you play in and or the songs you play on. I love to put you on our play list.

I don't hear a 2, 100$ difference, but yes, there was a difference. Only that the difference was discernable at the time of playing. Nobody would know at a concert

I'm not musically trained or anything so I probably don't get it, but the first one sounded better than the second one to me.

In your opinion, What is the percentage contribution to quality between the stick and the hair?

I wish I could have heard a whole phrase.

Yes it sounds better. But not 22x better. It seems most things violin including learning it are extreme examples of diminishing returns, much more so than other instruments.
