Ultrasonic thickness gauge TT100 - how to check velocity of known thickness

This video shows how to use Time Group TT100 ultrasonic thickness gauge to determine the sound velocity of a material that has known thickness. Sometimes you are not sure what sound velocity you should use on certain materials or parts. You can determine the correct sound velocity by reverse test with the ultrasonic thickness gauge. First measure the thickness of a sample with a caliper or similar tool. Then found out velocity with method shown in the video. Now you have the correct sound velocity for parts that are made of the same material.
