This end of the "road" thing almost sounds like some kind of Utopian vision. Cars were a luxury invention that allowed for private use and the ability to travel varying distances. And personally I drive my car every day, not because I like to but because I need to go somewhere. Most of the time it's convenient and fast. It's just about getting from one place to another. Maybe instead of thinking about cars we should be thinking about mobility in general. Cities have a lot of people and sometimes they need to go somewhere. How can we make that happen in a cost effective and simply way that doesn't destroy the environment.

I am for the (mostly) car-free option but I ended up leaving early in the video because it isn't productive or conducive to having a proper discussion on a topic as polarizing as this for the interviewer to be so significantly and openly biased for one side, to the point of speaking pejoratively about the other. That just generates hate and frustration and causes misconceptions about how people on either side are.

I think we need the balance of both.
We need electric cars and better transportation options.

If you want to reduce car use, then reduce the number of parking spaces. Government should also incentivize people using mass transportation.
