This kid has superstar QB written all over him. He throws from all sorts of angles with amazingly quick release and accuracy. He literally hasn’t got to practice as much being a 3rd stringer yet looked seasoned, poised and confident. Most of all he showed that he can step up under pressure in big games. A game against a hot dolphins team loaded with several former 49er teammates and coach. He’s still got a lot to prove but if I were Jimmy G or Lance Trey, I’d be worried about my starting job

Purdy is pretty accurate, hits the target most of the time, can extend plays, makes good decisions with the ball when passing. Just need to protect ball more when a lineman is gonna sack him or tackle him. He also needs to work on scrambling tho when edge rushers chase him. He has like a 67%+ completion rate. Purdy can develop into a good player.

The throw that impressed me the most was @:06 to recognize you’re being blitzed only to have maybe a second and a half to wind up and throw it perfectly. He processed the incoming blitz, where to throw it, and released in just 1.5 seconds. Play intended for George or not that’s a pretty tough spot for any QB to be in if he was TB12 or “Mr. Irrelevant” I won’t go out on a limb and say he’ll win us a Superbowl but I’m extremely excited to see how he develops. I’m really curious why he was drafted last now

This kid could be good. Very surprised he fell to last in the draft. Quick release, today’s typical NFL size, elastic arm, has more guts than most starters as of now and is pretty accurate. He throws off platform and from different arm angles, very quick release, great upper and lower body disassociation and finished with his weight back with a sudden stop of upper body rotation that leads to balanced squared shoulders. All the things we see in Rodgers, Mahomes and Allen. We will have to see about the elite arm strength though, not enough situations yesterday to really tell yet. I saw this in him 2 years ago at Iowa State and was very impressed. He also has all those weapons and a championship caliber D.

I’m a huge iowa state fan and I said that when the 49ers drafted him he went to the best place possible for his skill and that he would be much better then people thought. You guys got a steal with him! I was hoping my broncos would draft him.

He uses his shorter arm reach to his advantage. He gets that ball out real quick and accurate. He might not be a deep ball thrower but that’s not shanahans offense anyway. I hope he continues this because it’s his turn now. He won niner faithfuls trust

Hey this is how Tom Brady and Kurt Warner got their start and became super bowl winning MVP HOF'ers. Not saying that's Purdy just yet but it doesn't matter how you get your chance, if you can play, you can play no matter what round you get drafted in or whether your stocking shelves at a grocery store, and if Purdy leads the Niners to a championship then they'll have a heck of a decision to make next year when Lance is ready to go.
