The thing with Greek mythology is that different parts of Greece typically had their own mythology and it's why you see different things. For instance, Heracles is said to have gone to Olympus when he died and married Hebe but Odysseus also sees him in the Underworld. Many myth tellers, many stories.

You are such a beautiful Man - I love to see You up and running again! Please remember that You have a big and sound (or that latter part at least somewhat, ) just wanting to remind You, that if not for anything else, You'll. always have a loving and free place to go!

Lots of love all the way from Denmark, that'll always be happy to see You for free!!

❤🤗

Yeah, since the name Plutus was the name for Hades in Roman mythology.

He plowed her Thrice in a Thrice plowed field...

That line of dialogue alone is cursed

Panea is a daimonia not a goddess.

The one divine being that is mostly associated with wealth is the goddess Tyche, the goddess of luck .

She is an oceanid nymph, an immortal one .

Daimons and daimonias are not gods and goddesses.

They are spirits which embody specific aspects of life, but they have no high conscience, they are like robots that just do what they are told, they can be destroyed thus not immortal

Hades' roman name is Ploto though, right? Not Plutus. Or is it the same name?
I still think the god of wealth and Hades are the same😅

In fact still in modern greek wealth is the word «πλούτος» (“plutos”) and an alternate word for poverty is still «πενία» (“penia”). The names of some gods were given due to their characteristics or what they represented as a way to rationalise and personalise living conditions or phenomena and some words are still the same in modern greek as in ancient

In Spanish "penuria" means poverty. Penia has changed her name to "socialism". Greetings from the socialist Bolivia 🇧🇴.

Would Plutus inspire the Roman counterpart of Hades, Pluto?

Of course they made the hated and poor one a woman 😅 the greeks had some serious misogyny in their mythology. I guess most religions do, though.

if you made a shrine to Penia would she be flattered or offended

This is basically what corrupt evangelicals try to insist is the case when they preach prosperity theology.

Wouldn't it have been smarter to honor Penia and sacrifice to _her_ to prevent her curse!

Was Plutis the inspiration for the roman Pluto?
