HUGE Old Republic reference in Andor

In the newest episode of Andor, Luthen Rael hands over Cassian Andor a Kuati Signet. A blue Kyber Crystal to celebrate the defence against Rakatan invaders. But little does Luthen know, he's just made an awesome reference to the Star Wars game, KOTOR. As the Rakatans played a huge role in the game.

I definitely had a double take when I heard him say it. I didn’t think we’d actually get a lot of name drops like this. This is how you do good “Easter Eggs”

There's also Starkiller's helmet in the background (though on a different set of armor); and also a fractured version of the Mortis stone that came from the Jedi Temple on Lothal, in the World Between Worlds episodes from Rebels.

The stone from Rebels had three different hand configurations representing the three Mortis Gods, but it was in one piece... this stone seen in Andor looks the same, but its fractured in two, between the hand configurations; perhaps it's a little Easter egg referencing how the Son fractured the union of the Mortis Gods by his actions, in the Mortis Clone Wars episode arc?

Rakata has been canon for a while (TFA Visual Dictionary) but that was just the planet itself, not the species or any lore about them. Hearing the name mentioned onscreen was really cool though, I always love when anything Old Republic is mentioned.

Another name drop I was impressed by was Mimban. Cassian fought in Mimban when he was 16 years old, meaning 10 BBY. This means he served at the same time as Han Solo did, as seen in Solo.

As a massive KOTOR fan, I went nuts when I heard this. I love the extra wars KOTOR added (Mandalorian, Infinite Empire) as much as the main plot. So heading the word Rakatan, I had to research and verify.

Rakata Prime has been part of the Disney canon since the beginning, but up until now (aside from a few planet name drops), the Rakata have not been directly referenced. Even more interesting is if you consider that the Zeffo also share similar backgrounds and connection with the force. It would not be all to surprising to see the two empires having some influence on each other in some way.

It has to be over 25000 years old though. During and up until Revans time history didn't even know of the Rakata's existence.
