Cheney: Trump Tried To Contact Jan. 6 Committee Witness

Ranking member Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., said at the end of her closing statement that former President Trump attempted to call an upcoming witness following the June 28 hearing. According to Cheney, the witness declined to respond and the Justice Department has been informed. “We will take any efforts to influence witnesses' testimony very seriously," Cheney said.

I don't care much about ger her father but she is someone I could vote for and trust protecting US constitution even when it is not so easy to do so. If she does not win her nomination in Wy, she should move to any blue-state of her choice to go back to DC because DC really needs someone like who will put her/his country first above party affiliations. If I thought Ms Cheney could reign in what has become of the Republican party, I would return to the party that I was loyal to until trump came along. I didn't just walk away when he showed up, I ran. At this point I fear that it is beyond reason and redemption. I am also gravely concerned about the future rights of American women and girls, the LGBTQ community, the separation of church and state and the lavish tax breaks that the top 1% are enjoying. Not sure if she would be willing or able to tackle these tough issues. I feel the same about a second Biden term or a first Harris term. Let's hope we have some good choices in 2024.
