This is without a doubt my favorite Chinese anime of all time

The first season was really silly and hinted at leaving behind the past, second season hinted at serious elements and implications, third season just straight up hurled you into a whirlpool in the middle of an ocean. The opening (3:17-3:47 primarily) hit really hard because of how lighthearted a lot of the series was.
