Coffee Talk: Ryan McKnight and TTF Part 2 - Church Child Abuse Reporting Issue

Ryan McKnight of the TTF shares details of the recent news of the LDS Church involvement in keeping children in a home with ongoing child sex abuse and child pornography. The church instructed the Bishop who was informed of the ongoing abuse not to report it but instead to continue counseling with the abuser, while he continued to report ongoing abuse still involving a new child. Issues of institutional policies to protect children and the mixed obligation and duties of lay clergy who are professionals otherwise mantated to report abuse.

The church selling itsself on and promoting familylife and having lots of children, and with this policy showing total heartlessness and lack of basic empathy and kindness towards even infants and small children, its insane. What is wrong with church and religous men ? Do they have a hole where there should be a heart ? or are they living in a fantasy world .. sooo strange
