There are many wonderfully man made creations out there, however isn’t it incredible the man has been able to make a machine that can lift off the ground and safely land as well, once this would have been laughed at as ludacris, from The Airbus A390 plane to the Boeing 747-8 here are (15 Abnormally Large Aeroplanes That Actually Exist)

If the A-390 is still in development, it doesn't actually exist, yet. And since A380 production has stopped, the A-390 most likely won't be a super jumbo.

The Spruce Goose must hold all kinds of records being the only one made of plywood. It also looks like more than one designer used quite a few of Howard Hues ideas.

Pilots are awesome but I must admit that being up there feels rather unnatural. Life has a new meaning whenever the aircraft lands and comes to a complete halt.

If the a380 wasn’t a big seller, why does airbus think the airbus a390 be a good idea?

The Douglas is the cutest bomber I've ever seen! It looks like a flying Snoopy! 😍

1000 people on a plane? sounds like a great recipe for record crash fatalities.

The first “Aeroplane that actually exists” is literally something they admit is theoretical.

The piston engines were more efficient with fuel and less expensive to purchase. However, they have much less thrust than the jet engine for their weight, and require far more maintenance. I believe it's really the savings on maintenance that made the jet engine the norm for air travel. This saved in labor costs, reducing down time, and flying faster to get more flights out of the same time period.

100 years there won't be jet engines either nor will there be airplanes, we will have something entirely different but most of us won't be here to see it, it would be nice to be able to see it !!

Large aircraft are sadly now coming to a thing of the past. Boeing has stopped the production of the 747 as has Airbus A380. The A390 is just a myth. The first 'Queen of the Skies' was the British built piston based Bristol Brabazon post war and was a marvel but never received any orders. Twin engine fuel efficient jets are the the way forward. On another note hopefully by 2029 the new supersonic jet will be carrying fare paying passengers at affordable prices.
