not at all. This is a basic mistake. You are assuming that each factor equals 1 which does not have to be the case. One might be 2 and the other 1/2 since 2(1/2) gives 1 as an example.

Hi,
seen as the range is 0<X<360
why have you not included (180 +54) = 234 or (360 - 54)= 306 degrees?

Hi there
There's one thing I don't understand about this. When you use the graph method to deduce the other values instead of the CAST method, you can't go wrong, because you see the values in front of you.
But trying the sinx graph method for my first value, 54 degrees, I don't see how you can get 126 degrees.

Hey there!
Instead of factorizing the equation 4sin^2ß - 2sinß - 1 = 0, can't we go on like this:
4sin^2ß - 2sinß = 1
2sinß (2sinß - 1) = 1
2sinß = 1 and 2sinß-1 = 1
.... ?
