In this episode of Blog & Mablog, Pastor Doug Wilson continues his series of letters to a fictional nephew about the relationship between the sexes, this time discussing sandwiches and the natural use of the woman.

Blog and Mablog is presented by Canon Press.

"Godly women want to feed their men. Godly women are designed to make the sandwiches. This is not an absolute law, like the one about making babies, and there are times when a man fends for himself and makes quite a decent sandwich. But in the general scheme of things, the apostle Paul wants the women to make the sandwiches."

I love this message, but I do the food preparation in our home because my wife has a spinal injury that pretty much precludes her from doing that job. I’m happy to take care of her and it makes me happy to see her happy.

My wife makes me a sandwich to put in my lunchbox everyday. She even puts the lettuce and tomatoes in a separate bag so the bread doesn't get soggy. When I sit down for lunch and say a blessing, I make sure and thank God for my wife first.

When you genuinely love a person feeding them and seeing them smile because of your food, it’s rewarding. It’s not awful as I was led to believe.

When he finds me, yeah, I will make him a sandwich or as many as he wants! I will make him shawarma, torta mejicana, I will learn to make a sandwich from anywhere in the world just so that he smiles 😂

So weird how they made something so simple a big deal.

I’m a 62 year old woman. I like to make the sandwiches. My 58 year old husband can make his own sandwich when needed, but he knows I like to do it. We are happy and comfortable in our God-designed roles. Age helps, a lot.

One of the funniest thumbnail-title combos ever. I couldn't not click

A mad man who believes wholeheartedly in his own brand can sound rational too.

"You do not just have the challenging task of finding a good and virtuous wife, you must find her while living in a madhouse."

Haha. That pretty accurately describes my experience. Although the madness seems to be spreading every year.

After seeing the Netflix TV drama series "Adolescents" I decided to try a "cheese & pickle sandwich" for myself. And it was actually pretty good!
😋👌

Wise, modest, critical thinker, nurturing, hospitable. Unindoctrinated by the corporate media industrial complex. This is My dream companion.

"eccentric uncle" ... "uncle Doug"... I'm watching a video of a guy who sits in a dark room talking to strangers about sandwiches and legos without stubs.

Well my childhood Legos still have nubs and now I want a sandwich but I'll go to hell if I make my own. I'm so confuaed.

30 seconds in, this is great comedy!! And he's so deadpan about it! This is one of the best comedians I've watched. Hopefully the rest of the video is as funny as the beginning.

I wondered if this would be the episode where I disagreed with Doug Wilson. But alas, he makes too much sense because his views come from the Word. Quite appropriately, I listened to this episode while making a chicken and bean soup, homemade sourdough rolls, and stewing cinnamon apples for my family, while being thankful for a husband who works outside all day in January in Wyoming to provide for us.😊

The thumbnail and title gave me a good chuckle, truth be told

I’ve been married almost 9 years. I can’t imagine watching my husband make a sandwich. It would be awful. Haha I am sure he would feel the same way about watching me shovel our driveway. It would be torture. Lol
We enjoy serving each other in our roles. It’s wonderful. It’s meaningful. It’s fun.

I never understood why it is so offensive that men and women have different roles. It doesn't mean one is better than the other. They have different strengths. Both are made in God's image and together we reflect him.
