Consider the Source - Mouthbreather Official Video

During the height of the 2020 pandemic instrumental trio Consider the Source hunkered up with famed Dream Theater “Images & Words” Producer David Prater to work on an album together. Today the band shared the first video single from that session entitled “Mouthbreather” which showcases a return to their progressive rock and heavy side. The video filmed and produced by longtime band collaborator Kris Reznik showcases their renowned instrumental skill with the band set in front of an all white cyc wall. Mouthbreather adds heavy grooves and psychedelic sounds to the band's adventurous Eastern prog rock sound.

Produced by David Prater
Engineered and mixed by:
Eric Delegard (Denton, TX), Rick Greenwood (Denton, TX), Michael Hynes (Asheville, NC)
Gary Long (Dallas, TX), Amrish Mahabir (Whitestone, NY), David Prater (Ridgway, CO)

Filmed and edited by: Kris Reznik

Holy wow. This has that "music for musicians" vibe, because many people won't appreciate how much raw skill it takes to create this kind of stuff. Excellent work guys.

This is fucking awesome! It's appropriate that David Prater produced/mixed this album because, up until the "bridge", the song *sounds* like the bridge of a Dream Theater song; in the best ways. Love it guys, can't wait to hear the whole album!
