saying the lack of an interchangable lens is a weakness of the system is like saying a sport car's lack of a truck bed is a weakness of sports cars. Irrelevant.

I bought this camera because it does not have an interchangeable lens and because I enjoy shooting with manual focus. This camera is perfect for me. Why would you want this camera to have interchangeable lenses when there are already great cameras out there to meet those demands? It is not a weakness. This camera seems to hit a certain market very well.

So relaxing, I'm using this video to fall asleep at night.

To answer the strap questions: they’re from Cub & Co. Their website seems offline at the moment.

The whole point of a rangefinder type camera is that you can focus by chasing your subject in the viewfinder (you actually see more than the sensor captures), and by half pressing the shutter you will freeze the focus and then recompose and shoot. Or, plan B, you may use the AFL/AEL button, recompose, and then shoot.
You really don't need the joystick (only case scenario you'll need the joystick is when your camera is mounted on a fixed tripod).

Good review. I think that I am a typical demographic in that I want a better portable camera than what my iPhone delivers, without the complexities of interchangeable lens, etc. The low profile of X100F camera, coupled with Fuji's overall package, is what really attracts me to this camera. Given how long the X100F has been in production, however, I am kind of waiting for the X100G with a tilt LCD screen (??).

Before reviewing a camera, please document you about the previous iterations of the system. The original X-100 had a Bayer sensor. The new converter "lenses" have magnetic contacts. You do not need to dive into the menu's to enable them. It is in the menu to enable the previous generation of converter lenses to work fine with the camera

It is a very specialized camera - very good for limited situations - The E3 is also good.

The original X100 had a 12MP Bayer sensor. The next generations (X100S and X100T) had the X-Trans II.

If you have problems with the ISO dial in this X100F, you must prove the Nikon DF, I love this camera.

Is there another camera out there with this quality that is considerably cheaper?

actually u can use front dial to change iso, if u leave the iso dial at A, and activate the option for command dial in option for iso dial. Please give youself hours or days to understand the camera before you judge it. Oh and the front dial gives you + - 5 stops exposure compensation too.

wildlife photography with a 35 mm equivalent lens? how close would you expect to get to the wildlife? For street photography which a cell phone camera would do just fine, this lens is fine alternative. For outdoor flash, with the leaf shutter it would be excellent particularly for full length but half length and proper posing, a closeup portrait would be an option due to the 24 mp sensor capability -- lots of ability to crop. Just don't move too close to avoid distortion.

I think it might be an excellent camera although currently I am quite in favor of the X T20 for what I may do but if one wants to spend the extra $ then go to the X T2 but if I were to do that I would have to consider the Olympus M1 Mk II with the 12-100 mm lens equivalent to 24 - 200.

You keep saying "I wish it had a better lens" but you also say repeatedly "it has great image

"Love to see a better lens"...what's wrong with this lens? It's great! Okay, wide open at macro distance it's not sharp, but that really is the only thing I can think of. Come on, great looking images from a not so great lens is not possible.

You're not very impressed with this camera, are you? It's like you're trying to say the image quality is subpar, but can't come clean. You mentioned a couple times that you're looking for the next iteration of the series, despite this one being just released.

A faster lens will without doubt have a slower AF
