You can use an oil-based makeup remover to clean your brush from oil paint. It works like magic and will leave your brush soft and clean !

I work on my paintings slowly over time. I usually wrap my brushes and throw them in the freezer if I plan to work with same or similar colors in the near future. I find this is a great help and time saver so you don't need to clean them every time. Just a tip I use that helps a lot. Other than that, thanks for taking the time to be unselfish and helpful. You're awesome!

To me, oil painting is so intimidating! I think it's interesting and oil paintings look beautiful but it just seems so difficult.

Rinse in solvent + dip in oil (baby oil, vegetable or any) + back in clear solvent + back in clear oil - each step of the way use tissue to get the excess off

Super helpful. I got oil paints for Christmas, and did not know where to start on cleaning.

I love your honesty in sharing the tips in painting and how to care for the brush. I feel like I’ve learned more from your videos than from me going to an art class. The teacher just likes to brag and not even show you tips and teach you techniques …

I am very excited for your new oil painting series :). Can I contribute a little tip? Sometimes when I forget to clean my brushes or when there is a lot of paint stuck in the bristles of the paint brushes and you don't have any "professional medium" to get it off, I usually go through the cleaning process that you showed, then I use some soap and water to remove the remaining flamable material that the oil painting has, and I heat up some olive oil in the microwave for 50 seconds and then I deep the brush in. and I noticed it removes the paint from the bottom of the bristles as well. But you have to be careful with it. xxx
Have an amazing day Lena xo and never ever stop painting :)

Thank you, I got overwhelmed and went crazy on how I should go about cleaning the brushes. How do you dispose of the solvent after it gets too dirty?

This not the way to do it

You should beat the devil out of it
