I expected it. When have child stars go on to be successful without going through trauma and addiction? We know now that trauma combined with genetics is what causes addiction and mental illness. Nothing in our society supports addressing this.

We allow them to be abused and we abuse them ourselves: then we are entertained by their struggle and judge whether they are worthy of redemption. It’s disgusting.
