As ever wonderful. I am still at the stage where I find alot of the math references mind boggling, but will persevere. Unfortunately when caculations are mentioned my mind goes blank! For many of us who have slavishly followed knitting pattern for years, making a sweater from the swatch up can feels like being cast adrift at sea without the trusty compass. Fortunately we have you to guide us . Thank you so much for providing the opportunity for so many of us to access your expertise and travel this exciting, sometimes scary, journey together. I could't watch live, but now, after watching, lot's of doubts are cleared! Thank you!

Oh wow, thank you so much, I've learnt a lot. I'm doing my first yoke sweater with colour work, but from the bottom up as per the pattern, but what you have explained has already answered a lot of questions I've had in how to solve some problems, especially with fit and obtaining a smooth fabric throughout.

Thanks so much, wish I found your channel before I struggled thru all this on my own, lol. You're a great teacher, and I find everthing understandable.

thank your for the video. I don't like to swatch, but I decided to swatch my yoke for a teddy bear size. I am so glad I did. You are correct. Swatching is necessary, I can see the difference in guage from plain to stranded knitting. I saw that I was putting in one motif upside down. It is much easier to rip out and correct a tiny yoke than a full size. I learn so much from these videos. You answered all my questions before I even asked. I love your channels.

Wow thank you for demonstrating what happens when you raise your arms. I am following your custom ITAG yoke tutorial, but looked at Zweig for inspiration. Since I noticed the Zweig has increases after the shoulder points, and also has a deep yoke (at least for my arm depth measurement), I have been wondering whether you followed the Zweig pattern to the letter or made modifications. I may use the color motifs and short row back neck shaping from Zweig, but come up with a different scheme of making increases based on your tutorial. I'm so glad I caught this. P.S. I like the color work you incorporated into the sleeve cuffs. Is it a 2 by 2 rib or just the same striped motif used at the bottom of the yoke? Thanks for your great videos.

Hi Suzanne - I am rewatching this series. I don't remember if this topic or question was covered in a later video. In Sewing we add a gusset to the underarm when the sleeve is more fitted and the arm circumference is smaller. Do you think a gusset will help with the underarm too?

Thanks so much Suzanne! I wasn't able to watch when you were live streaming today as I couldn't get free from work, but, enjoyed it all the same when I could get home. Took lots of notes and will most likely watch today's Off the Cuff again. There was lots of great information! I am just starting to consider what I will do for the yoke sweater that I'll knit so am not too sure about much except that it will include color work and a steek (which I've never done) to make it a cardigan. Could you go over putting in the steek stitches after doing the provisional cast on? I am a little uncertain about how you said to do this. Or, maybe if you know of a tutorial video that might be helpful with this? Thank you. Also, it was great to hear all the questions and about what others are considering for their yoke sweaters. Many thanks!

I like the idea with k2tog, yarnover, k2tog, yarnover. But it does not make increases 😉

Thank you for the valuable information as always. I think I am starting to understand. I believe I am larger than some of Anne Buds calculations. (I have swatched, but I have been too sick to do measurements.) That leaves me in the predicament of not being able to use her numbers for sweaters for myself. So I need to do my first yoke sweater from scratch. I am feeling less overwhelmed with all of your guidance. I just need to get my body working enough to get back on track with everyone else. That way if I have questions they are relevant to what everyone else is working on. I have some lovely socks to post on Ravelry from the starry starry night KAL. Hopefully I will be better and able to rejoin the live streams soon. I miss talking to everyone. Thank you again💖

Thank you so much Suzanne. I have one question for you.

Can we use provisional cast on for short rows for neck shaping in yoke sweater ?
