Homework:
With a US7 (4.5mm) needle and a solid light color of worsted weigh yarn -
Swatch #1
CO 15 stitches and work in Stockinette st for 4 inches. Bind off and block. Do not slip edge stitches.
Swatch #2
CO 3 or 4 stitches and work an i-cord for 4 inches. Bind off and block.
Swatch #3 optional
CO 15 stitches, turn work.
Row 1(WS): Slip 1st st, purl until 1 st remains, slip 1 st.
Row 2 and all RS rows: Knit.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 3 more times for a total of 8 rows.
Row 9: Slip 2 sts, purl until 2 sts remain, slip last 2 sts.
Row 10: Knit.
Repeat rows 9 and 10 3 more times for a total of 16 rows worked from cast on.
Row 17: Slip 3 sts, purl until 3 sts remain, slip last 3 sts.
Row 18: Knit.
Repeat rows 17 and 18 3 more times for a total of 24 rows.
