I consider myself advanced home authomation enthusiast, but kept watching this video until the end. Travis has got so much info, that i can grasp something from beginners video too. Thanks man.

I have wasted so much time trying to flash tasmota from Raspberry 4 until I found your brilliant video! Thanks

Thanks for a great walkthrough!
Been using Tasmota for several years now and you still taught me something!

Thanks dude! I've never messed with Tasmota, but a lot of the intro videos are older, so it's nice to see a new one that I know will be up to date.

Travis, This is a(nother) great video from you! Some YT videos grow stale/outdated over time when additional functionality is introduced to Tasmota. A good refresher every once in a while is always welcome, and helps get new folks into Tasmota (and out of the cloud). ;-)
Now I've got some SO13's to check. P.S., Always love the outros with OG!

100% agreed with Local configuration stuff. Thats why most stuff that I have are zigbee and Wifi ones are Shellies.

With the web flasher, you do not need to select a ESP32 binary, if you just select "Tasmota", it will automatically detect ESP32 and use the appropriate tasmota32 binary.

This is fantastic intro/primer!
Please please please do a setup for the Shelly Dimmer2! Shelly products in general are just so great. I'd love to step up the power. Keep on keepin' on. I finally subbed.

Love the video. I've been using tasmota for a few years, but always learn something from your videos. Can you do a video on BLE with the 8266. Thanks

Thank you for the video, I have used Sonoff S2 before, but the cable connections are very poor so you have to fit it in a secure box with proper cable glands to make it childproof, so I am going to make my own with ESP8266-01 module plus relay plus 220v to 5 volt converter and 5volt to 3.3 volt supply, then I can use a secure box with glands,
I know you love HA but for me, it is overkill as I only want to switch lights on off or on and only about 10 switches will do, so my question is can I just use Tasmota with my phone or tablet to control my lights? Any help would be good thanks Bob in the UK

Hello, I know this is an old video. But I just purchased a Tasmota plug, and I've been looking all over how to configure settings to reboot my cox modem when data stops, causing me to reboot manually.

Good stuff Travis. I have been watching your videos for a long time and have learned a lot from you about tasmota,
, tasmota rules, flashing light switches and outlets and integrating everything into node red, thanks. But I want to do something a little different, I want to monitor limit switches on a CNC machine I am building and I would like to send their status through mqtt. I have a Esp8266 nodemcu programmed with tasmota and four GPIOs configured as switches and two as relays. The relays work fine through mqtt but operating the limit switches doesn’t send anything via mqtt. Any help would be greatly appreached, Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing you knowledge with the world
