Hi Everyone! Thank you for checking out our first video. For the last 7 months we have been living in our little 17 Foot Casita travel trailer. We have been all over the West Coast of US, Canada and are now traveling Florida. Soon we will be on our way to Texas, Louisiana, Arizona, New Mexico and hopefully going to check out Baja California.

We have been dreaming about living on the road for a long time, it took us a couple years to save and make this adventure happen. Our goal is to spend at least a year on the road with a budget of $30,000 all in. So far we are right about where we should be for the 7 months we have been on the road.

We are planning on more videos talking about our hybrid solar system( fixed and portable), as well as modification we have made to the camper to make it an ultimate go anywhere off-grid adventure rig.

We have a lot to share about our choice of molded fiberglass camper and how it compares to stick built campers as well as Airstreams.

Subscribe to our Youtube channel and check us out on Instagram and Facebook.

Below are the items mentioned in the video:

Front Generator Mount:

Generator LockDown Kit

Rear Casita Hitch

Rear Cargo Carrier

Inside "Media Center" Shelves

USB Voltmeter 12V Socket thing

Love the trailer, I plan on relocating next year as I'll be an empty nester, gonna relocate to Idaho with my job & buy an acreage to build a insulated heated pole barn so I have a base of operations as I'll still be employed but with no mortgage I'll have the freedom to travel with my camper to hunt/fish/camp with my 2 dog's.

Thanks for sharing. I have been customizing exterior racks. I learned that an aluminum diamond plate truck box fits inside a standard hitch cargo carrier...looks good and it a lot easier than tying down boxes. can also tie into lights and add a light bar on rear for brakes, signals, running lights. It is simple and easy to find truck boxes used.

That's a good way of living for young couples. Keep the cost of living to a minimum. Feel uncluttered and carefree.
Enjoy !

You folks have definitely outgrown you Casitas. It's time to move to a larger camper. Thanks for sharing.

I saw your video at the perfect time. Just got back from my first 2 month trip to New Mexico, Arizona and Utah in my new Casita. Love the trailer but storage is a challenge. I liked your ideas for the trailer tray, gas storage and the storage trays from Little House Customs. Folks have been real friendly and helpful on the road. Everyone wants to talk about my Casita. Thanks and I'll see ya on the road!!

It's cool seeing you guys living in a smaller camper like that, and how you use every inch of space. So many people on YouTube that live in their campers have $100, 000+ houses on wheels. Sure, anybody can live in one of those.

We bought our Casita 17’ SD new 3 years ago and have only used it three nights. I’ll be training for a new job for about 6 months so I’ll live in it by myself and will be copying some of the setup. Thanks for the great video!

I just ran into your video cuz I am thinking about getting me a small trailer just an idea, because I like to see more of this country that we live in before my time is due. I like your upgrades didn't think you could put that much stuff to camper trailer for me I would do a little less but I like what you have done I will keep it in mind thanks for the info.

You guys convinced me to go with a Casita. So, got one. 2011 dlx liberty.
Unfortunately, a good bit more than $5k..
I've been living in it fulltime now for 5 months. Yea, a bit of an adjustment, but, comfy. Cut a full mattress to fit....
I'm going to set up the exterior with the same racks you have.
Still learning...
Thanks guys.

Thanks. We have a 17 ft. The gentleman and his wife we bought it from were the original owners. He was an engineer, so naturallly he did a lot of small things to improve some of the original design. There is a Casita owner who has a YT channel called "The Willful Wanderer". He has a video on a clever way of gluing the carpet back in place .I really enjoyed your presentation.

Love this video! Really great storage modifications! Been looking at older Casitas to buy for a downsizing/retirement option. Your videos gave me better insight of what to expect and how to modify. Thank you again for great info! Travel safely and enjoy!!🤩

I watched your presentation again. Very nicely done. Both the video and the interior. I have a 16 ft Scamp and the floor-plan is almost identical to yours. I like some the things you've done and they will work nicely in mine if I ever get around to doing them. I'm so sloowwww and would usually rather go for a walk.
