I'll admit going into this film I didn't really know elton but after the film it has quite literally changed my life. To be part of a younger generation and discover his story portrayed by an incredible actor is something that will always stay close to my heart

This is probably the coolest showing of the symbiotic relationship a talented performer can have with their audience. With both Taron’s Elton and the audience suspended in mid-air like that, it was the best way to show what that feeling is like. Bravo to the team on that and to Dexter Fletcher, who did an amazing job directing this movie.

It was criminal that Taron didn't receive at least an Oscar nomination as Elton John. Especially when you consider that he received nominations from BAFTA and SAG and won a Golden Globe, as well as a Satellite. He nails Elton's phrasing on the songs, sings them beautifully and perfectly, and also Elton's performance facial expressions, his walk and his run, and all along he's convincingly dramatic and authentically comedic

I remember this song coming on the car radio in the 80's. I was about 7 . It was the most amazing song I had ever heard, I had never felt like that before. I said Dad, who is this ? He said, dunno, I think its Elton John. It felt magical.

Boy did a top job as Elton. An inspired performance.
I first noticed his talent in Eddie the Eagle, with his individual blend of comic, pathos and hopeful determination.
Excellent movie all round, even Rob Stark joined the fun.

I went to the cinema to see this movie twice, truly an exception for me. And I have been watching it 2 or 3 more times at home, I am absolutely in love. I cry with him, laugh with him, sing and dance with him. It's truly something special.
