Video shows a vehicle going the wrong way on Route 55 in Mantua Township on Thursday just before a head-on crash that left two people dead.

Bystanders stated he crossed over from the south side to north side. It appears to be intentional. Sadly, the other driver lost her life.

Medical or suicide doesn’t look like it was trying to slow down at all

Spent 30 years in law enforcement, saw this occur many times and 99 percent of the time it was an impaired driver.

I was working on RT. 55 last year. A older woman was driving on the south on north side on the grass in the medium?We stop her, helped her. It was very scary

How does someone end up going thr wrong way, and continue barreling down the road towards oncoming traffic. Why wouldn't they just pull over once they realized, instead of speeding up 🤔

Highway 55 (to me anyway) is scary as can be. Speed limit is 65 and I see people doing 80+ all the time.. PA & Delaware drivers weaving and out like they're making a basket.. and I never see any troopers at all on 55.

I hope investigationwill give answers to both families . So unfortunate, he could just drive off the pavement to the grass median (I see it is not protected by barrier) and prevented this.

We know him, he had heart issues in the past and must have had a heart attack. He would NEVER EVER INTENTIONALLY HURT SOMEONE! HE WAS A GOOD MAN WITH A BEAUTIFUL FAMILY TO LIVE FOR. IT WAS HIS HEART! Im sorry to the family of the women who died. I know he did not do it on purpose, it was something medical.
