Doing farmers' walks not only added all round strength, but it also cured any postural or lower back issues I had.within a couple of weeks

One of the best exercise that i do that improve my posture + strength + gain over these 2 months. Some people in my workout place laughing what i am doing in the beginning, but last week they start doing farmer walk in their workout routine.

I do them almost every day, along with suitcase carries. The effects are immediately noticeable and all other lifts improve

Farmers before my squat workouts, sandbag carries before deadlift workouts, and something like waiters walks on overhead days. Bench day is just another day to hit my triceps again so whatever gets them warmed up and ready to go.

I've been doing farmer walks as a "finisher" at the end of workouts, just because it's very demanding to the forearms.

Regardless of specific weight, I think the most important thing is ensuring your consistent with the distance and pace as you add that weight. That makes it measurable. As soon as you start changing multiple variables, it's a lot harder to know whether you're getting stronger

adams recommend is best ive tried. Med. weight DB's with barefoot or wrestling sneakers I find really Hones in on the feet/earth placement needed for squats and deadlifts, kinda gripping the floor thinking mind muscle contraction....really has proppeled my squat and deadlift gains. thanks guys

How to program farmer walks? Put them into your programming anywhere cause it's a great exercise. Use a heavy or light weight and go fast or slow or medium. Walk a longer distance or a shorter one. Way to clarify. thanks, I guess

I've been doing one before and/or one after as part of warmup/cooldown.

Was doing 2 minutes but now am down to 1 minutes but heavier weight.

Really like it as a supplemental exercise rather than a primary.

I start my workouts with heavy sled push for 10yds then walk backwards 10yds with the same weight. Then farmers carries down and back 10yds twice. I do 4 sets. I love it

I use farmer's walk as pre-workout and I have only been doing it for 3 days but I alreayd notice that I don;t slouch on my office chair anymore, my back feels better and my posture has improved.

I do carries with my kettlebells. Double Suitcase, rack, and overhead. The slower you walk the better the training. Flexing your feet and not waddling like a penguin
