I love how every immigrant I’ve ever met is 1. a big fan of America, 2. comparatively in a tough financial situation, but optimistic and thankful for opportunities, and 3. strongly republican. I think it says something that every immigrant, who logically would have a clearer world view than those born and raised in America, largely agree on their views.

My father in law is Cuban from Havana. He is a man of few words…unless you bring up communism or socialism. Then you get read the riot act and I love it

i work in construction so i know quite a few people from countries specifically venezuela. i was kind of surprised how many were trump fans and supported the right. one day i asked the guys why. there answer to me is why would we vote/support for something we did everything in our power to escape from?

As someone who is born in this country from parents who came from Cuba, I can confirm that this is accurate assessment. In fact if you come to Miami, the majority of the Hispanic population here vote republican and are huge Trump supporters. Best example I can think of is my dad, he told me that voting democrat means voting for communism. How right he was.

I lived in Key West Florida for 20 years. Back then, "Wet foot Dry foot" was the law. If you made it to land, you were in. You would not be deported. At least once a week, Cubans would make it. I was always cheering for the Cubans. Cuban people are wonderful. They are hardworking people, and they love America 🇺🇸. Perhaps all Americans who love socialism could be swapped into 🇨🇺 Cuba, and we would get Cubans who love America, and they are not afraid of hard work.
