That’s a very profound description of BPD, and one that makes a lot of sense.
It’s rather sad that a person with BPD appears to have their sense of self dependent on another human being. I think we all wish for fulfillment in romantic relationships but for people with BPD that goes way beyond that, from what I understood.

I have diagnosed BPD
it’s exhausting;;
my feelings for people I love
can switch so fast based on
small things they do in the moment
and when meeting new nice people
I “fall in love”- I really don’t
I am temporarily obsessed
and have the impulse to break off
my long term happy relationship on a whim
I never do it because
I know to wait it out now
the emotions are so intense
and can be changed so easily
even small comments can make
me think I hate someone in that moment

Can confirm. I have definitely fabricated attachments where there were none, although I didn’t know that at the time.
When a relationship becomes established, the fear of loss of same is so intense it’s hard to remain rational.

I have BPD and i stay away from most relationships. alone but not lonely. i love my alone time and value it above most relationships. my emotions are too intense and when im alone, i can process them without any collateral damage. humans are emotional creatures. weve evolved this way to keep us alive. those with BPD area ble to experience the most potent and intense version of all emotions and thats kind of a beautiful thing in that Borderliners are intensly human

Well said. Also, I think a lot of BPD are very insightful and know what behaviors they do and what they're wrong. They can know every coping skill under the sun. but it's like there's a glass wall between your emotional self and logical self and it's very hard to use your coping skills when you're feeling an extreme emotion.
