Wow, just wow. You totally nailed this edit, Dani. I'm so overwhelmed after watching this. The way you captured Colin's expressions and his discomfort at Penelope being courted by another more eligible gentleman than him, the one who sings her praises, admires her witty beauty, gifts her flowers, literally stakes a claim on her. In front of him.

Oh damn him. Damn his uniform. Damn his pretty face that makes all the young debutantes swoon in front of him.

We all know how Colin is wishing for his stars to come down and bless him with patience to watch this utterly incorrigible absurdity happening right in front of his nose. The guy swoops in straight, some nerve he has to compliment her beauty in front of all the guests.

He sulks, swallows and his confused ass swells up a bit more. The guy has to compete for Penelope's hand in dance lol, his frustration must be on another level.

It's a really good line you added, "I'm sorry, " which shows how Pen is so grateful for herself, that she's finally getting noticed by someone for once instead of being pushed to the wall only to watch others fall in love and marry while she withers away in spinsterhood. But at the same time, she knows the depth of her feelings for Colin, how she can grow to love the man who asks for her hand but she can never love him the same she loves Colin. That he's the one she desires even though he's such a fool and coward to come forward and announce his intentions.

And we get to see how Colin finally gives in by staking a claim on her, he literally holds damn hands with her in front of the whole ballroom, aka Ton, and literally pushes her in agony to dance with him.

Ah, I'm getting all the feels. This is the content I live for. This is the content that's making me preserve my sanity for a year more before we finally get to see what's actually going to happen with them.

Oh, I'm so ready. *smiles evily*

Since the 3rd season has been confirmed, I would definitely love something like that to happen even though in the book Colin doesn't have any opponents.
