This is very cruel. i am a biologist and can tell you, they are very smart and can tell what is happening. Octopus have fear and feel pain. What a great disrespect for another species.

The octopus is a very expressive animal. If you decode its movements, it's more expressive than humans. I am fishing underwater, spearhunting, in Greece for 40 years. I stopped fishing octopuses some 20 years ago because, once I understood them, I couldn't stand to see them die. To me it's like watching a human die. It's not only me, I have met other fishermen who feel the same. Now, when I see an octopus I always dive next and admire it. So obviously I find this video appalling.

I would not finish watching it because I saw a guy that did a documentary on octopuses, and he followed one of them until they were an adult octopus, and he formed a connection with him, and the octopus actually waited for him every day to greet him. It was incredible on Netflix so you see eating him is ridiculous.
