Venom And Spider-Man’s Complicated History Explained

Ok so stop me if you’ve heard this one before. What do you get when you take a superpowered arachnid-themed teen superhero, add in a disgraced reporter at the end of his rope with every reason to hate that same superhero, and add a dash of black alien symbiote that specifically increases the aggression of its host? Well you get decades of comic book story telling of course! Eddie Brock and Peter Parker have been at odds with one another for what seems like an eternity. When a symbiote from outer space attached itself to Peter, we the fans at the time were unaware of the proverbial can of worms that had just been cracked wide open. This symbiote formed itself as a fancy new suit for the web themed hero, and caused serious changes in one of Marvel’s most popular. When he attempted to discard it, the symbiote found a match made in, heaven I guess, Eddie Brock.

For years the two have done battle, fought side by side, hated each other, and ultimately respected each other. In today’s video, we take a deep look at the story of Peter, Eddie, and the symbiote, including their fights against villains like Carnage. Which moment in time do you think symbolizes their relationship the best? Is it the black alien’s initial bonding to Eddie? Or the time Eddie loaned it back to Peter to take on Carnage? One thing you got wrong was that it was actually deadpool who was the first to bond with venom on battleworld . Deadpool instantly rejected venom and venom slithered away to ol’ spiderman. And that’s when the story gets big!
