I lost my heart in Ireland, it is still there.
Is often as I can find time for I try to learn, for my someone special. Is there a significant population speaking this language, still today? Another YouTube user trying to teach the language to those who have an interest, stated it was under the pressure of the British the Irish language, was all but forgotten. Although there are areas where it is used.
I do not know that history of course but I do think the words sound beautiful and visually it's written appearance is beautiful as well.

I love the word uisce. I am only starting to learn gaeilge though, so I am sure there will be many more I am going to love. Still uisce will always be special as my first beloved irish word.

Thank you for your video. I must subscribe since I often see words in Irish and have no clue how to pronounce them. Back in 2016 I spent a week's vacation in Ireland staying with an Irish friend who by coincidence, teaches Irish among other subjects. She took us to many wonderful places in the countryside as well as in Dublin, and one was Sliabh an Iarainn (Iron Mountain). I can say it only because I make it "Sleeve an Earring" but drop the G.

A funny story -- as we left the airport in Dublin driving to her home, we passed many signs stating "Scoir." I was just about to remark, "That city has a lot of exits" when I realized Scoir is Irish for Exit. We had a good laugh about that.

I can't wait to see your other ones. Those of us that have Irish parents but grew up in the states need this. I just love the words you chose to put in this video. How do you say, "Many thanks?"

Probably because it makes me think of my relatives over in Ireland my fave two words would be teaghlach ( family ) and muintir ( relatives )

My favourite is dronuilleog. Not because of what it means (rectangle), it just sounds pleasant to my ear

1:45 in, Uimhir a ceathair seems more beautiful than anything else he said when it's spoken, "ceathair" also looks wonderful written

This guy also seems likeable as hell, I want to give him a hug

Thank you, Learn Irish. :)
I'm glad you clarified 'ring' as the ring on yer finger, not the one below the waistline ... Fair balls to ye for ending on 'freedom' - an Irish 'preoccupation', but sure 'saoirse' is such a beautiful word, & name. Go raibh maith agat :)
