This video could be more informative. The S5 also allows you to pick your pedal assist as you ride, has a flicker light function, can charge your phone off of the bike’s power, has a torque sensor, more gears and the smoothest drive train Vanmoof has ever put out. It also has significantly more torque than the S4 and has an auto retract kick-lock and apple fund my functionality.

The S4 has a simplistic two gear mechanical shifter based on centrifugal force, no display and fatter tires. Both bikes have a mount to display the in dashboard app.
