That patreon move was weak AF! Making people pay for what is actually the best information 🤦

Great overview but what about a comparison of the rear connectivity of each board? i.e. only one or two of them have 40Gig USB4, 10Gig LAN, optical S/PDIF and five audio connections.

Been running the Asus Prime X670E Pro Wifi for a while now. Managed to get it for $300 and while not a bargain, was not bad compared to the other boards in stock at the time. I paired it with a 7700X and together then have been rock solid.

The CPU I will be using is the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, I want a motherboard where I can use Gen4 Nvme SSD on it instead of Gen5 even if it states it uses Gen5. I want to be able to use at least four type Gen4 on this board without comprising the GPU slot down from 16 to 8, I want to keep it at 16, so which motherboard do you recommend for me to get? One more thing how come you didn't feature the Asus X670 Hero. MY board at the moment is the Asus X570 Dark Hero, my CPU is Ryzen 9 5950X, my GPU is AMD Sapphire Toxic air cooled RX6900XT and I have two gen4 Nvme in it along with two 2.5 HDD, with the new build I hope not to use any HDD in it at all.

Do any of them NOT have a com1 uart/serial. Or which ones do?

I hope motherboard prices come back down, £600+ I just feel is silly. I like a video of what new tech is next and when where likly to see it. Ddr6, pci express 6, usb4, wifi 7, will sata get a upgrade or is that dead tech now.

My Gigabyte Extreme boots to windows in 10 seconds. I can’t explain the difference with your testing.

AM5 finally has integrated GPUs in their Ryzen CPUs and MSI sell very expensive boards (ACE & MEG) with no HDMI or Displayports on the IO which would be useful for testing pre-GPU but since all the other boards, cheap ones too have them why have MSI omitted them it's not as if there's no space on the IO side, there is because they are also very stingy on USB ports, just 8x USB A. Gigabytes Extreme and Asus's HEro both manage to have HDMI on the IO along with more USB ports.

Too bad you didn't include the Asus X670E Creator.

Im running a ASRock Taichi X670e, if anyones curious about it 24+2+1 Power Phase, 105A SPS, 2x PCIe Gen 5 slots, 2x NVME gen 5, 2x nvme gen 4, and the only one with a gen 5 m.2 slot with a monster heatsink with a fan on it. My only real gripe is some RAM QVL is a little lacking unlike the ASUS and Gigabyte boards.
