I always found the rarity argument stupid. This isn't a game lile WoW with a thriving resale market where you can make big bucks from having rare items. As for treating cosmetics like trophies, I don't think they really require that much work. All they really show is that you grinded a little bit during a certain time, it's not like a ranked award.

I would agree to yes because there's some people who miss out on certain battle passes with certain characters in them that they can't get back anymore such as spider-gwen or iron Man or classic spiderman

i’ve been thinking over this idea for a bit because i think there’s a way to make more or less everybody happy

what i was thinking was, once a year (probably around black friday or christmas or smth), epic would sell a “voucher” for any cosmetic in the game, wether it be bp, challenge based or item shop. it’d cost like 30 bucks and you could only buy like 3 or 4 of them per year but, when used, you’d be able to get **any** item you’d like, with the exceptions of super styles, things epic legally can’t sell anymore and ranked items (like the fncs champion pickaxe and the ranked back blings)

i think it’s a relatively smooth solution to the issue that’d make more or less everyone happy while still allowing things to be rare and desirable

I really like how Halo Infinite does it. You can still progress and purchase Battle Passes even after the season ended. And it would really be really cool for people to get stuff like Spider-Man, Darth Vader, Omega, and Drift.

Adding on they should also probably allow people to finish past battlepasses that they either bought previously or played during the time it was out, in case if they never finished them and got everything. Not everyone has time on their hands to grind out for virtual cosmetics.

As someone who has almost all the battle passes I would not care if they resold some or let people finish them is they couldn’t make it to tier 100 or they could sell battle pass items individual in the shop but for a higher price

I wish more game companies took the 343 path when it comes to the battle pass. After experiencing halo infinites battle pass I feel so used by other game companies because we payed money to get fomo and it’s BS and it’s are fault and epic and other companies are going to keep doing it because they know we are going to keep buying fomo

I might be late but I have basically the same idea of excluding the superstyles for reasonable levels of exclusivity.

What I had in my version of the idea though is that the sets are available in the shop for a certain amount of time and don't come back for at least 30 days so *most* of the babies stop whining about "earning" their digital cosmetics they don't even own instead of buying it for a higher price later on like mini pass stuff does. Y'know, instant gratification by paying a small amount of money + putting in play time instead of waiting a year like both of our suggestions.

it should be like skull trooper and ghoul trooper, anyone who had the battlepass skins already before their rerelease should get a special style for them

As someone who has all cosmetics I would be so down for people to be able to obtain these because it’s 5+ years of content you cannot and will never be able to obtain ever

I mean, eventually there’s going to happen because we’re only seven years into Fortnite run. Think of like 10 years and it’s definitely going to happen but not anytime soon.

I have a question for people (as some one who owns a good deal of battlepass skins) why do you care if they do come back is it like you wear all those skins religiously? Or do they just sit in your lockers to collect dust? While I get the limited battle pass exclusive issue I have to wonder why exactly aside from "rare skin I own" I mean I have a skin and my friend doesn't and cant get I would be fine with it returning just so they can be happy.

As a community we to evolve with the game not stick to something that's never changing. Trust me I get the argument for both sides and Im curious.

Yes they should, like I've been playing since season 3 but I was a kid and couldn't buy anything. First battlepass I got was season 7 and I'm still mad I missed out on drift just because my parents didn't want to get me it haha

What about crew skins like Galaxia and Joni? They could bring them back into the item shop but give past owners new legacy styles new crew skins get these days

I really want the season 8 tier 100 skin because i was quite young at the time and i had a little bit of a hard time leveling up you know i think tho they should Add special styles to all the skins that they release.

Honestly I just want the remaining cosmetics for the Drift Set and maybe get super styles from the mega season😅
