I have my XMP not enabled, I want to. But changing the voltage (playing with it) seems tricky to do and you have to remember what you changed in case it doesn't work....

Why is it not easier? Turn it on.... ready!!

I’m scared of messing with all that stuff in the BIOS
I have a 12900k, G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 64GB DDR5 6400CL32 and I haven’t been able to get it to run stably. I can get it to boot, but it inevitably blue screens soon after boot. Anyone else have any luck with those parts?

I have a ASUS rog strix z790 e. I did everything he said for the ram part and didn’t work. But! I got them to boot at XMP 6400mhz, what works for me was, instead of installing my ram on the 1-3 slots I change them to 2-4 slots. Motherboard book shows to install them that way so I did. Problem fix. Now am able to boot on XMP II with no problem. Please make sure your ram are install correctly when you do so, meaning they are tight down properly on the ram slot. Best of luck everyone

Hey hey,

I have an asus b660-a ddr5 capeable motherboard with a new i5 13600kf cpu, also have 2 sticks of ddr5 6000mhz 16gb so its 32gb…
My system as you mentioned in the video only work and see 4800mhz.
I went through the process what you just showed in the video. Waited around 15 minutes but nothing happens after the restart, seems like no boot at all. I put the voltage from 1.35000 to 1.40000 V as my voltage was already 1.35000.

Any advice anyone?
Its just sad to spend more money on rams which not working as it should be.

Thank you❤❤

having had an Asus Hero with a 12900k and gskill 6000 memory and also an Asus Extreme with 12900ks and corsair 6200 memory i can tell you that the 12th gen with ddr5 has been nothing but a pain in the ass, we are 6 months in now and the ddr5 has been a real load of aggro

Hello Sir, I have two questions for you: I would like to know whether to put in a mobo that has a DDR5 6000mhz RAM limit, inserting a pair of 7200mhz RAM and setting it for example to 5800 with the XMP profile from the BIOS; this Motherboard is about to start. I definitely have to set the Timings different from the default ones. Or would you boot the operating system in SPD and that's it? Second question: in an Asus B660M motherboard prepared with DDR5 RAM and with Intel 12th gen. I5 12500 CPU, Can it work with a pair of Cas type RAMs with 30cl latency? Or the Timing must be reset if bios doesn't detect them? Not all brands should work, even Non-QVL. Those who can try various types of kits know this. I hope you answer me. Advice? Thanks and have a good day

So to update you, i bought a 14900k cpu as i had heard and read that the IMC (internal memory controller) on the 12th gen is often crap and that is why they wont run an XMP profile. But the 14th gen has now been polished and they are a lot better. As soon as i plugged it in it ran the XMP flawlessly, gaming, benchmmarks, you name it. Its the 12th Gen IMC - its crap and if your unlucky you get a crap one that wont run XMP. Ive tried four memory kits on the 14900k, they all run as they should XMP, none did on two 12th gen cpus i had, that ive now gotten rid of. This is all on my z690 Extreme board btw, i have two 32GB sticks running at 6400mhz no problem, gaming, benchmarking, all perfect and stable with the 14900k on XMP, i guess they have finally perfected the 10nm process now on 14th gen, at least this is what it points to for me and im using the 3101 bios on my extreme board.
Youll see for yourself. I was reluctant to buy a new CPU as its onyl about 15% faster than my old 12900k, but the big jump in memory speed and being able to run an XMP profile swung it for me and i took the plunge - it is the IMC on the 12th gen, they are poor and i was told this by an intel engineer before i pulled the trigger and bought one.
You have to tweak the voltages BECAUSE the 12th gen IMC is crap. You dont need to on 14th gen

Hi, I think you can help me understand something.
I have Asus prime Z690-a, intel i912900kf and Crucial Pro DDR5 6000 MHz 1.1voltage 4x24 GB.
I just can't make ram work at 6000mhz, but with XMP 1 at 4800mhz which is what my processor supported system but fast and stable..
Is that true with this quantity of ram and 4 stick is impossible make ram working over 4800mhz ?
Who understand about this can said what should try to make them run at 6000mhz.
Is worth or like you said on comments better keep memory like that and enjoy what I have.
I have on my brain all time this....I have ram at 6000mhz but I use just at 4800...
And 1 more think pls, is that true 4 stick of ram is tricky make them run but work better then 2 stick. What is advantage to have 4 stick and not 2, or what is advantage have 2 stick and not 4.
Thank you.
