Very helpful! Thanks! This happened a few years ago when my Nissan Frontier was sitting at the airport for a week while we were at the in-laws house. I did all of the regular stuff like taking it to the shop, having them check the wiring, about to.buy a new unit, etc., and got nowhere. I plugged it back in myself in the shop parking lot and it went on like a champ. Here we are, 3 years later and we just got back from the in-laws house again. After 3 weeks of the truck sitting I the garage, it did this again.
While watching this video, I had the completely unplugged unit sitting in my lap and holding down the SRC button to force the circuits to attempt to use every bit of electricity that lingers in the system after it is unplugged.
I plugged the unit back in with the intent of doing this fix, but the error did not come back after simply holding the button for the duration of this video. So, if this particular fix didn't work for you, try completely unplugging the unit, holding down the SRC button for a few minutes (count it out to 120 if you have to), and then try plugging it back in.

Hey, guys. So, a few hours after this fix, the error returned. I thought my unit might be broken, but I found another video that provided a helpful tip that actually did work for me.

If the error returns for you after doing the steps in the video do not permanently fix your issue, simply turn off your car, remove the NEGATIVE terminal from your car battery and wait a few seconds to a minute. Then, reconnect the negative terminal and start your vehicle.

When restarting, the issue should be clear.
I was expecting to have to add my phone back to the Bluetooth list and all that jazz, but all I had to do was reset the time and I am good to go, now.

Mine did this miswiring messege after i worked on my drivers side door (replaced mirror) come to find out i damaged the speaker in that door banging around, trying to get the screw out of the window roll down knob (screw got stripped) replaced speaker, messege didn't show up, problem solved
