The plot hole I had a problem with is how demons work. They came up with all of these rules for demons, and then forgot about them

They need to remember what made them good in the first place is actually hunting figuring it out, the mystery of what we are dealing with n how to stop it . The talk between brothers .
The main problem with the prequel is deans father did not know about monsters before his wife died, either way u look at it . The show was great because of the chemistry between Sam n Dean .
