These sets knock it outta the park. Besides the price tho, they could be improved by having more human soldiers to fight against.

While it's true that the sets aren't as detailed or screen-accurate as many fans would have liked, I believe that the LEGO designers managed to strike the perfect balance between displayability and playability while keeping the prices under control (still expensive, but not insane, considering the IP license, the unique minifigure printing, special pieces, and the recent price hikes). These are meant to be playsets, not collector's edition displays, but I think they fulfill both purposes admirably.

I just watched Avatar again and find that 75573 has one container because it's scene from the end of Movie, when Quaritch was fighting with Thanator in front of base.
There was only 1 container there.
By connecting 75573 and 75571 we can get exactly the final battle.

I wanted these sets back in 2010 when the Lego Woody & Jesse minifigures from Toy Story came out with the long leg pieces. I’m extremely happy they finally got to make this franchise a Lego theme, but the price increase will probably deter me the most from getting these which sucks. It doesn’t help the ones I want the most are the most expensive ones. Maybe I’ll be able to get them at some point in the future.

Hope Lego will use the longer legs for Groot minifigure

I expect a 3rd party to come up with a lighting kit for the Tree of Souls.

I really like these sets, I just wish that like you said the tree of souls had all glow in pieces, especially for the moss below the tree. And I wish that the Ikrans/Banshees had legs.

I don't really like the wings, with the big black connector pieces and the Lego copyright print... But I don't really know how they could have made the wings better at that scale.

These look epic. The longer legs will be usful for custom figure mayde. Might one of these to make a short film.

I saw all of them in person and I love them, the copter and the mech are really well done,

I hope Lego does more sets of the first movie, I'd love some of the soldier characters and a UCS style Scorpion attack helicopter. Liked the review and was glad at your knowledge of parts of the movie as I am a pretty big fan of the movie.

Already calling it: Site 26 set is gonna be the most popular set for obvious reasons followed by the Turuk Makto and the other dragons.

The rainforest stuff reminds of that one plant from the Lego movie 2

I hope they make the hamerhead rhino and viperwolfs in the next sets.

Ngl I’m not a fan of these. The lack of glowing parts is massively disappointing. The builds seem like they were rushed for production and not the usual quality

I’m hoping that the second wave will have more RDA stuff. We need more troops and vehicles at a reasonable price.

75571 the suit i would have liked to be in a more detailed scale and with ratchet joints but considering this is a license set and you get basically 2 mini figs and two buildable figures and some flora i can forgive it and actually may pick this one up as it was my fav scene in the movie.. being a sucker for mechs and scifi
