My older brother lived at home till he was 27. Working through college, and saving every extra penny he made. He is now a Civil Engineer with 4 rental properties. He had 3 rental properties before he moved out. He will be a multi-millionaire before 40. Dont feel bad about living with your parents. Keep grinding and do whatever it takes to survive. God bless.

The economic reality makes this a necessity. It's not about refusing to grow up.

I checked out of society a long time ago. I still work and provide for myself. Im not struggling, but I agree, Im not invested in this society of tyranny and corruption. Id rather be an outcast. It doesnt bug me either because I am happy with my time, my freedom, and things I worked hard for.

I think it’s a reflection of the current economic state of the country. I am 23 and still living with my parents. I’m an engineer and I make an above average salary but I’m saving thousands of dollars because I don’t have to pay rent in the same way as I would living alone. It’s a little weird for us Americans, but when you think about the rest of the world it’s actually kind of normal

The future belongs to those who refuse to grow up today.

Bro it’s not about being invested… it’s about being OVER WORKED! Working is one thing, but working hard for nothing is another.

I'm 28 I have a steady job, I live with my Gf (3 years )and two dogs. Over the past 4-5 years I stopped going to church, and spent less time with family. Recently the last year I decided to cut my days at work from 5-6 down to 4 days a week. Less $$ more time to pursue my interests. I haven't been this happy In a long time

I think a lot of parents didn't realize how the internet and social media would have such a negative impact on their children

Lol ain’t exactly like we got much going for us… a house back when I was a kid was a 80-90k, I get approved for 150, nothing. Between that and dead end jobs if it’s not my health, it’s my youth, or my sanity that needs to be sacrificed and even then, no promises.

A lot of my fellow Millennials are victims of their own doing.

In my experience most older adults refuse to accept how bad inflation is and how horribly most jobs are paying today. The older generations don't know how good they had it. And lets not forget men can't easily get welfare as single mothers and other women can.

I think for a lot of us. It's the seeking comfort in harsh times. I have enough to leave the house but it is easier to stay at home.

I have 3 children, 35, 33 & 22. My two older sons (by virtue of being born 30 years ago) have found their ways to survive in this current climate. My 22 y.o. is trapped. Fourteen dollar an hour Courtesy Clerk job (in the big city) is nothing when BlackRock owned rentals start at $1200 a month. And guess what? They are ALL BlackRock owned rentals. Rentals in Phoenix (over the last 2 years) have ALL turned corporate owned properties for the express intent and purpose of furthering Agenda 2030 where you will "own nothing, and be happy". Because we ALL are being forced to live in an apartment (barely affordable) or live in our car (barely affordable).

Another factor is that nursing home cost is outrageous. It just makes sense for some people to live and take care of their parents instead.

The main reason for so many more people living with their parents I would guess is mostly about $$$. There are other factors though.

Generational wealth starts with multiple generations building wealth and it being handed down.

Mickey mouse jobs don't pay enough for an adult to live on . Day you move out of your parents home is the day you begin to become an adult !
