Definitely seems like a nice trick especially if your using it to teach your son how to work on it. The LS platform, as much as some people dislike it, is such an easy platform to work on. Also working on it will make him appreciate it way more

I have a 2021 Custom Trailboss 6.2 with DFM and did the muffler and flapper valve delete and it sounded horrible on deceleration so got a Pulsar LT to disable DFM, sounds a lot more consistent now but it does still have a bit of drone to it cruising around 60mph. I should mention I have the 3.73 rear end also . I am saving up for a Borla S Type after watching this video. Those tips looks great and so does the sound!

Its hard to beat a Borla. I put one on my 2021 AT4 6.2L and it sound incredible. Not too loud, deep rumble, loud on heavy acceleration, but quiet at hiway speeds. (Borla 40359). Not Cat-back, just muffler replacement. $190 installed. Love it.
