Kia Stinger GT - Borla Type S vs. Muffler Delete

Literally the first blue Stinger I have seen that I liked. The black rims with a window tint looks quite a bit more aggressive.

They both sound good, its just a matter of the mood you are in, sometimes you just want to come home without the grand arrival sounds, but At the meet you want to sound like Jessie .

Both sound good in their own way. I have borla catback with stock 1st and 2nd downpipes. About to install the ark downpipe soon. From what I've seen it sounds even better. No tune. I rather leave the car mostly stock anyway. Maybe in future once it becomes a weekend car.

I like the sound of the Blue Stinger with the Borla mufflers. I'm not a fan of the pops and crackles, though as it gets annoying and tiring pretty fast. I prefer the deep powerful CLEAN sound.

Just my opinion, but I associate the pops and crackles with the Boy Racer crowd. I prefer just a more restrained but muscular sounding exhaust note.

As a Stinger owner I have neither with my factory setup. I'm reluctant to make any major changes to it at the risk of having a warranty repair declined. As many have said, Kia may not void your warranty for running a performance exhaust setup or air intake system but they CAN deny coverage for certain repairs if they believe the modifications contributed to the failure. Maybe after my warranty expires I'll be more inclined to mess with some of the more serious mods.

You can actually adjust the sound with the radio, there's an electric damper that changes the sound

Which is louder in person? (without the pops and bangs obviously). It almost sounds like Borla is louder but that's amazing that it can be louder than a straight pipe.

Which is faster from 0-60? That's what I want. I prefer some stealth to not draw too much attention.

I wonder if the ark and borla setup makes any of that raspy tinny sound. I have the ark downpipes and the mbpr and I had to had resonators to get rid of the rasp. Knocked the sound down damn near 50%. Might go for a different set up in the near future.

Guys can I make my Stinger GT sound like the blue Stinger with just ARK downpipes and Borla S Type Exhaust? I don't want any tune(for me car is fast enough), may be intake and BOV.

I go back and forth on pops/bangs; some sound good but others not so much. I guess it really depends on the exhaust set up 🤷‍♂️

I remember when cracks and pops was because you had a POS exhaust and now people are adding it LOL Sorry I know some like it but it sounds like a RICER.
