Airline: Alaska Airlines
Plane: 737-800
Seat: 2C
Flight # 11

*The plane in the thumbnail is a 737-900. I chose it because I like the picture.

Is Alaska Airlines really all it's cracked up to be? That's the question that was on my mind as I boarded my first ever flight with this Seattle based airline last year. About two weeks earlier, I flew to Denver with United onboard their own 737-800, which has similar recliner style seats in their premium cabin, and I had a nice trip. Surely Alaska couldn't do that much better flying the same plane with very similar seats? In this video I'll compare these two flights to see if it's really worth flying with Alaska.

For those who are interested, I sat in seat 3E on my United flight and it was roughly the same price as my flight with Alaska.

Alaska is next level. It’s especially great as I live in one of their hub cities, therefore been flying them my whole life. Service and crew are beyond amazing, as everything else.

Being on the west coast, I exclusively fly Alaska. Their first class tickets are the cheapest around (most bang for your buck), the service is incredible and they are the only US carrier that allows their domestic first class passengers to use their lounges.

That chocolate chip cookie looked delicious, and the leg room was way above average!!

I've been thinking about flying Alaskan 1st class transcontinental next year and this makes me feel much more comfortable flying an airline I hadn't really heard of before

Alaska is a good airline. I usually flew them when i lived in SEA.The service is very consistent. I flew them for the first time in 5 years last August and it felt very similar to my last flight years ago.

I’ve never flown on them before but I have always wanted to. Great Video!

Alaska customer service excels. You really see it when something goes wrong. And it does with every airline. But Alaska really takes care of you.

I mostly fly American but I do fly Alaska occasionally. I have to agree, Alaska does take it to another level. During the pandemic, they had the best food and service in first class. Their attention to detail is a notch higher than American. Great video!❤️👍✈️

Prefer the Alaska, because the ticket usually cheaper than United. And you deserve the sweet service form the crew.

As long as I’m riding first class, I can use their lounges even though I don’t have a credit card through Alaska air?

Alaska is my favorite airline to fly in the US. I just wish that their route network wasn't so limited. I live in the Midwest and there's really no good reason for me to fly on Alaska, unless I'm going to the west coast, Alaska, or Hawaii.
